Permission secured for major leisure facility and extensions to venue at Whitehouse Leisure Park

We were delighted to achieve planning permission for our longstanding clients at Whitehouse Leisure Park in Towyn to build a substantial new leisure building and also to extend and improve the Jake’s venue at their site. This scheme forms part of their long-term commitment to modernise and improve their offer for their guests and shows a firm commitment to their sites in this part of the coast.

The scheme was quite complex due to issue posed by flood risk, as well as the need to work around existing buildings on the site and other constraints. This required a careful approach to the scheme, and we advised on how to balance these competing factors and meet policy requirements. We also undertook research into historic consents which was key to setting the context when balancing up flood risk that already existed.

Working with AK Architects, Enfys Ecology, and Weetwood, we were able to tackle all issues prior to submission, and this resulted in a rapid decision with minimum issues whilst it was considered.

We are really pleased that our clients will be able to invest further into their business and continue to deliver quality experiences for their customers.
