Permission secured for off-site play area contribution on approved housing scheme

We have been assisting our client with securing a change to a permission for a major housing development which required construction of a play area as part of the scheme. However, the play area approved was very small and it had been agreed with the Community Council that it would be better to make a payment that would assist them in building a much larger play area to serve the whole village. We assisted with amending the consent alongside their Solicitors, Blake Morgan, who handled detailed discussions on the Section 106.

The amended permission and Section 106 has been issued. This is a win-win for all parties, as our client can now finish their development, and the community will benefit from a much better play area enabled by our client’s contribution toward that scheme.
